After all, the Mogas used in most touring microlights is purchased at a local petrol forecourt, and the price paid includes not only one of the worlds highest levels of duty, but also VAT. Both these taxes are designed to ensure that the UK motorist contributes to the UK tax take, so a scheme allowing the intrepid international aviator to avoid this tax is only fair - isn't it?
