| Black Forest Rally | |
On May 6th 2006, The WFAeC undertook the now legendary 'Black Forest Rally', to the mysterious and little known Central European province of Bavaria, Southern Germany. Careful routing through complex international boundaries, and civil and military airspace, was all taken in the stride of the intrepid WFAeC elite, who were able to achieve their personal and club goals in the face of toughest of challenges (not least of which was consuming vast amounts of food and alcohol). The outbound leg required each intrepid flyer to navigate through the airspace of 4 separate countries, and 1 time-zone. On the return leg some dedicated WFAeC members negotiated through the Paris TMA to land at DisneyLand Paris (near, anyway!) |
